I have 3 words hot..hot.. hot..
I just want to say a big thank you to the Planted Table Staff! This week our kitchen in Oakland was shy of 100 degrees and we pushed through the heat to cook over 1000 meals. We do look forward to getting back to regular Oakland temperatures though.
While we all over the bay were so hot I was dreaming of refreshing cold summer bites to keep us cool as June moves into summer. I have been daydreaming about chilled cucumber melon soup, grilled Brentwood corn, summer beans, summer squash, beautiful berries and soon the celebration of all things tomatoes!
Our first kids meal plan when out last week with a bang and we had so much fun making these veggie and fruit packed meals. As a busy Mom with two girls, and as a business owner, I have been enjoying having ready-to-eat snacks and healthy meals. It feels great to check feeding my kids nutritious meals off my list. The kids meal plan includes 3 breakfast, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, a huge bowl of ready to eat organic fruit, a large veggie snack platter with ranch and a pint of granola.
If you haven’t tried our granola yet, customers and staff are raving that it is the best granola we have ever tried. The peanut butter, vanilla almond and chocolate have become staples in our house with fresh summer strawberries and soy milk, yum!
This week don’t miss our 2 new flavors of dog treats too. We have Peanut Butter, Banana Cinnamon and Strawberry Beet. Please this week, we have a special offer of $5 off if you buy all 3!
