How it Works

Planted Table is for anyone who wants heart-healthy, plant-based meals but doesn’t have the time or desire to cook themselves. It’s like having your own, personal Chef-Lauren.

Meals are delivered to your door in our signature Planted Table insulated bag.

The meals arrive freshly packed in our eco-friendly glass containers as individual servings that you can enjoy at home or easily bring to work or school.

Most other meal delivery services come with one thing: lots of disposable plastic. We use eco-friendly, reusable, insulated food delivery bags and glass containers. Just rinse and dry when you are done and place back in the bag for pick up.

WHEN WILL MY MEALS ARRIVE?

Meals will be delivered to your home or office every Wednesday between 2 pm and 6pm. We will leave the bag at your door. You do not have to be home. You will be notified by text once the delivery has been made. If you have any special instructions to access your place of delivery, please be sure to include them in the “special instructions” box on the order page.

The free delivery is for those customers receiving a recurring subscription. If you sign up for one week only or cancel after the first week, you will be charged a $20 delivery fee.

If you sign up for a meal plan Thursday-Sunday, you will receive your meals on the upcoming Wednesday. If you sign up on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, you will receive your meals the following week on Wednesday.

*We have high-quality control standards during the packaging of our meals, however, we have no control over meals once they are delivered.

What do I do after receiving my delivery?

Upon receiving your delivery, refrigerate your meals as soon as possible. You can freeze some of the meals if you choose to.

How will I be billed?

Planted Table is a recurring week-to-week service. You will be billed automatically every week on the day you signed up until you place a hold or cancel service. Our hold/cancellation deadline is Sunday 12:00pm PST.

What kind of ingredients do you use?

All of our ingredients are completely natural, and of the highest quality available. We use no animal products and are organic driven. All of our produce is organic. Meals are completely vegan.

HOW ARE THE MEALS PREPARED? IS ANYTHING FRIED?

No. Every meal is made from scratch in a completely vegan kitchen. It’s just like you would prepare in your own home, only in much larger portions.

WHAT IS THE FAT CONTENT IN YOUR FOOD?

The only fats in our food are the healthy, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats found naturally in the whole food ingredients themselves. We use very little oil in the preparation of our meals.

HOW MANY CALORIES ARE IN THE MEALS?

Our food is clean, organic and vegan. Everything is naturally low in fat and sodium. Most meals will be between 200-500 calories per serving, but we will not be providing a calorie breakdown per meal. We don’t count calories because we don’t believe they’re a good metric for measuring a food’s nutritional quality. So instead of calories, we count things like vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and colors.  All of our meals are nutritionally designed and perfectly portioned to fuel your body with the optimal amount of nutrients in the form of clean, whole, real foods.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

At Planted Table we like to be able to accommodate our customers as much as possible. You may select up to three ingredients to exclude from your meals due to allergies. There is a meal plan price increase of $10 per week for exclusions and modifications. We are not able to omit vegan cooking kitchen staples such as onions, tomatoes, garlic etc. We are not able to accommodate these requests because we are cooking the food in large batches for efficiency and minimizing waste.

We follow a plant-based diet, which includes using limited amounts of oil. When using oils, we only use high-quality, extra virgin olive oil from Amphora Nueva in Lafayette. Keep in mind that our meals are already completely free of dairy, eggs, meat, and seafood.

If you have a severe nut allergy, then we do not recommend our meal plan, as we do have nuts in the kitchen. Please contact us at plantedtable@gmail.com if you have any questions about what we can accommodate.

DO YOU HAVE A CHILDREN’S MENU?

Yes, please see the kids meals on the add-on menu. We make healthy, plant-based meals that your kids will love.

What will I receive?

Your delivery will come in an insulated container filled with cooling packs holding your weekly meals. This packaging keeps your meals fresh not frozen. A detailed menu will be emailed to you prior to delivery (usually Thursday evening). Please rinse your dishes after eating and place back in the bag for us to pick up the following Wednesday.

How do I prepare my meals?

You will receive an email with all of our heating recommendations. In general:

  Microwave: The meals are packaged in microwave safe containers. Remove lid and warm for 2–3 minutes.

  Stove Top: Transfer contents to a pot or pan; heat until the desired temperature is reached.

  Conventional Oven: Meals are packaged in oven-safe containers. Remove lid and heat for 15 minutes at 350˚ or until the desired temperature is reached.

I travel a lot. What if I need to pause my plan?

We are more than happy to accommodate your plan to meet your needs. However, we do need to be notified by Sunday (12:00pm PST) on the week before you would like to pause your service. When you do pause for a period, just let us know when you would like us to resume your deliveries.

DO I NEED TO TAKE ANY SUPPLEMENTS?

If you will be maintaining a completely plant-based diet, we do recommend a vitamin B12 supplement. If you are not getting regular sunlight and your lab work reveals a low vitamin D level, you may consider supplementing with vitamin D as well.

CAN I CHOOSE WHAT I WANT TO EAT FOR THE WEEK?

Chef Lauren creates the new menus every week.  We are constantly rotating, changing, and adding dishes to our repertoire, and this method also allows us to keep our prices reasonable. We offer a set menu of delicious meals that everyone on receives. Each meal is nutritionally designed for your optimal health, so while you cannot choose your own menu, we guarantee that you and your body will benefit from each and every dish.

HOW LONG WILL MY FOOD KEEP?

As long as it is refrigerated, the food should keep for at least the days you are provided for.

How do I cancel delivery?

You must specifically request meal plan cancellation or we will keep delivering you meals. Email us with any cancellation or modifications by Sunday 12:00pm (PST) to cancel the next scheduled delivery.
