Message from Chef Lauren:
All of us in the kitchen are getting excited to make next week’s Thanksgiving meals. It really is some of the best flavors and most comforting food around. We are so grateful you trust us to feed your family on this special holiday to celebrate gratitude.
Speaking of gratitude, Megan and I want to thank all of you! This picture was taken on Thanksgiving 3 years ago, when Planted Table was just an idea. We had just spent a full day brainstorming ideas for a vegan meal delivery service. We had been talking about it for 6 months, and decided we would dedicate a day to thinking the idea through and if at the end of the day we didn’t feel inspired, we would drop the idea and continue on our current career paths, but if we felt inspired, we would launch in January. After 8 hours of planning we had our business name, a launch plan and never looked back. We launched in January of 2018 with 20 customers, (which were primarily friends and family). Now we feed hundreds of people every week.
Our goal was to show people how delicious vegan food can be, make it easy to eat vegan and keep our business eco-friendly. We also wanted to spotlight local produce and support our local, organic growers. We’ve met so many amazing people along the way and 2020 has been our most difficult, but most rewarding year yet. We know you have many choices when it comes to your dining options, and we want to take this time to give a big, heartfelt thank you for choosing Planted Table.
We are in this together and have no plans to shut down again. Alameda County is back in the most restrictive level in the state’s reopening framework. Everyone on our team strictly follows the county health guidelines. Many of our vendors and suppliers are impacted by these stricter guidelines, which can make receiving all our orders in time unpredictable. We will do our best to ensure a seamless delivery of your order, but we appreciate your patience when we have bumps in the road.

Reminder: We are closed the week of December 2nd. There will be no deliveries or bag pick ups, so it’s a great time to stock up on freezer meals.
